With people

Connect more easily.

In new situations

Build your confidence.

Feel more comfortable stepping outside your comfort zone, speaking up and handling unfamiliar situations.

For yourself

Try something new.

Make room for creativity, take a few chances and find out what happens when you stop overthinking.

  4. Skills you can use

Explore ideas and habits you can take into conversations, relationships and everyday situations.

The method

Why improv?

You can read about listening, confidence or creativity, but it helps to have somewhere to practise. Improv gives us a playful way to try things out with other people. You get to see how you respond, explore different choices and discover what works for you.

  • Listen with attentionNotice what's happening rather than preparing your next response.
  • Be more adaptableWork with unexpected changes instead of needing everything to go to plan.
  • Explore new ideasGive an idea a chance before deciding whether it's any good.
  • Feel comfortable tryingPractise without needing to get everything right the first time.
