ClassesThe basics about what we teach and who each class is for.
Who are these classes for? +
Our classes are for adults who want to develop their improv, sketch comedy, and performance skills. Some classes are open to newer students, while others are built for experienced improvisers or performers. Each class page will say who it is for.
Do you teach beginners? +
We sometimes offer beginner-friendly classes, but many of our courses are designed for people with some improv or performance experience. Check the level on the class page before booking.
What do the class levels mean? +
Our level labels are there to help you choose a class that fits your experience. Some classes sit between levels, such as Intermediate to Advanced, because the material is suitable for a wider range of experienced students.
For people with little or no improv experience. These classes introduce the basics and help you get comfortable in the room.
For a mix of experience levels. Brave beginners are welcome, but the class may move faster than a beginner course. Intermediate and advanced students will also have something useful to work on.
For people with some experience in scene work, improv games, or performing. You do not need to be performing regularly, but you should be comfortable joining exercises and trying scenes.
For people with experience performing or practising longform improv, sketch, narrative, or another improv performance form. You should be comfortable doing scenes, taking notes, and working with a group.
Each class page will say who the class is for. If you are not sure, send us a message with a little bit about your experience.
What if I am not sure about my level? +
Send us a message with your experience and the class you are considering. We’ll help you work out whether it is a good fit.
What kinds of classes do you run? +
We run one-off workshops, multi-week courses, drop-ins, intensives, and private coaching. Classes may focus on improv, sketch, character, scene work, narrative, genre, musical improv, or performance skills.
BookingPlaces, payments, waiting lists, and what happens after you book.
How do I book a class? +
Choose a class, add it to your cart, and complete payment through checkout. Your place is confirmed once payment is complete.
What happens if a class is full? +
If a class is full, you can join the waiting list. If a space opens up, we’ll contact people on the list in order.
Can I get a refund if I can’t attend? +
Refunds depend on how far in advance you cancel. For classes and workshops paid in full, we refund 80% more than 14 days before the start, 50% between 7 and 14 days before the start, and no refund less than 7 days before the start. Refund requests must be made in writing before the class or workshop begins. Read the full refund policy →
Can I transfer my place to someone else? +
Yes. You can transfer your place to someone else, but please tell us in writing before the class starts. Send us the new participant’s name and email address so we know who to expect.
Can I get an invoice? +
Email us after booking and include any details you need on the invoice.
Practical InfoWhere to go, what language classes are in, and what to expect in the room.
Where do classes happen? +
Most classes take place at Inconspicuous Studio, Ågade 106, kld. tv., 2200 Copenhagen N. If a class uses another venue, the class page will say so.
What language are classes in? +
Classes are taught in English unless a class page says otherwise.
What should I bring? +
Wear clothes you can move in, bring water, and bring something to take notes with if you like. At the studio, please wear indoor shoes or socks.
What if I miss a class? +
If you miss one session of a multi-session course, that is usually okay. If you miss more than two sessions, and there is no suitable way to make them up, you may be asked to retake the course before moving on to the next level or joining a related performance.
Class TypesHow the programme is starting to organise different class types.
What are character and scene work classes? +
These classes focus on sharper choices, clearer relationships, stronger points of view, and more specific scene play.
What are format and performance classes? +
These are classes for improvisers who want to rehearse specific show structures, performance habits, stagecraft, ensemble choices, and audience-facing work.
What are performer skills classes? +
These focus on broadly useful stage skills: presence, listening, physicality, characters, confidence, point of view, and clearer choices.
How are drop-ins different? +
Drop-ins are lower-commitment practice sessions. Multi-week courses build continuity and progression; one-off workshops focus on a single skill or theme.
