Hey dollface. We’re gonna make you a star!

This eight-week course is your ticket to smartening up your improvised musical game. The carefully designed program will guide you from improvising your first song to performing fully improvised ensemble numbers in your final showcase. Week by week, you’ll learn about different musical styles, song types, narrative structure and character archetypes. You’ll be challenged to practise different song structures, and get comfortable with rhyming through a range of thoughtfully curated exercises.

Designed for intermediate improvisers who are curious about improvising musicals, or experienced musical improvisers who want to level up. Previous musical experience is not required. There’s no need for soaring vocal ability here - all are welcome, from trained singers to the musically curious. If you sing in the shower, tap your toes to a catchy beat or make up a happy little song when it’s dinnertime you’ll feel right at home.

The course includes a class trip to an Inconspicuous Comedy Night, with the date to be confirmed, and finishes with a live showcase, also date TBA.

Sophie Kneebone

Sophie Kneebone is an actor, improviser, comedian, and human woman from Melbourne, Australia. Magnus Boye

Magnus has been improvising songs on guitar and piano since his teenage years, everything from drinking anthems to lullabies and love songs.
