ONLY for students who have completed Narrative 1 & 2
Narrative 3 is made up of elective courses focused on advanced story structure. This module explores narrative structure through the lens of character function—specifically the roles of protagonists, antagonists, and sidekicks—as tools for driving story progression and tension.
We’ll revisit what makes a protagonist compelling, explore how antagonists create meaningful obstacles, and examine the role of sidekicks in shaping both sides of the narrative. Alongside character work, we’ll explore narrative formats that showcase the stories that emerge when these roles are intentionally incorporated.
