Narrative 3 Story Lab – Multitudes
An original experimental format inspired by the Stephen King novella "The Life of Chuck."
Begin at the end of a character’s life and travel backward through defining moments using ensemble storytelling, surreal flashes, and grounded human scenes to reshape what came before. A layered and imaginative format that invites bold choices and creative exploration.
🧭 Who is this course for?
This lab is designed for advanced improvisers who are comfortable working within narrative long form and are ready to explore layered storytelling, tone shifts, and non linear structure.
You should be a good fit if you:
- Have completed Narrative 2 or have equivalent narrative improv experience with permission from the teacher
- Have a positive attitude and a willingness to try new things.
- Enjoy working collaboratively within an ensemble
- Can track story logic and emotional through lines
- Are curious about surreal or non linear storytelling
Expectations
Participants are expected to bring curiosity, openness, and professionalism. Narrative 3 builds quickly from week to week, so full attendance is strongly encouraged.
The final show is a real performance with a paying audience. Performers receive a ticket split and are expected to commit to the process, attend classes prepared, and help promote the show.

Q: How do I know if this course is right for me?
A: You have completed Narrative 2 or have equivalent narrative improv training and performance experience. You are open to experimentation and working in unfamiliar formats.
Q: What if I have to miss a class?
A: The course builds each week. If you miss a session, you are expected to catch up independently.

👨🏫 Your Teacher
Sarah McGillion
Sarah is an Irish improviser and actor who has been performing and teaching improv comedy in Copenhagen since 2016. With a background in theatre from the age of four, she has a flair for characters and storytelling. She performs regularly with her character-driven comedy duo show “If These Walls Could Talk,” the narrative genre team “SuperCut,” and the spontaneous sketch group "That Thing We Do."
Sarah has taught, trained, and performed improv across Europe, North America, Australia, and Africa. From home and abroad, Sarah brings extensive experience from performing, teaching, and coaching countless hours in many different improv styles.
